Permanent injuries from negligent security guard attack, $10,000,000 settlement. Our client was assaulted and permanently injured by a “Big Box Store” security guard. We were able to hold the employer of the security guard and the property owner accountable, resulting in a $10,000,000 settlement. 

Multiple collisions on I-90, nearly three years apart, Cle Elum, Washington, $3,700,000 Settlement. Our clients were involved in two separate collisions on I-90, almost three years apart. Our clients had complex injuries from these collisions. We filed one lawsuit to capture all of the damages, resulting in full payment from four different insurance policies.

Motorcycle collision on Unsafe Roadway, Everett, Washington, Trial Verdict, $1,969,807.85. Our client was riding his motorcycle on a side road in Everett, Washington. He rode his motorcycle into an unmarked construction zone, which included a large sinkhole. His motorcycle capsized onto his leg, leading to a surgery.

Crosswalk collision with underinsured driver, Tacoma, Washington, $1,600,000 settlement. Our client was struck as a pedestrian crossing Ruston Way in Tacoma, Washington. The driver that hit him was woefully underinsured but had significant real estate assets.  Because he was underinsured, we obtained a personal contribution of $1,000,000.00 from the defendant driver.

Dangerous Seattle sidewalk, trial verdict, Seattle, Washington, $1,550,000. Our client was walking down a darkened West Seattle street when her toe caught a raised sidewalk panel. She pitched forward and suffered severe orthopedic fractures. We determined that the City of Seattle’s sidewalk panel was pushed upward by the roots of a privately owned magnolia tree.  We obtained summary judgment and won at trial.

Traffic collision in Bothell, Washington, $1,375,000 settlement. Our client was home for college for the summer. On her way to work, she was struck in a busy intersection. We worked up her case and determined that while her orthopedic injuries resolved, she had a minor head injury that was impacting her studies.   This settlement captured all available insurance funds.

Traffic collision, Everett, Washington, $898,000 settlement. Our client was involved in two separate collisions one year apart. While he had minor orthopedic injuries that resolved within a few months, he had lingering headaches from the collisions.  The resolution captured all available insurance funds from four different policies.

Construction site fall, Redmond, Washington, $600,000 settlement. Our client was an experienced construction safety professional with over 30 years of experience. While walking through a construction site, she stepped into a large puddle, assuming it was only few inches deep to wash her boots off. Unfortunately, the puddle actually covered a large trench. When she fell in, she injured her low back. 

E-Scooter collision, Tacoma, Washington, $489,000 settlement. Our client was lawfully riding a Lime scooter down the sidewalk in Tacoma. A car pulled out of a parking garage, and he hit the car, forcing the post of the Lime scooter into his chest. Thereafter, he developed digestive symptoms.   

Premises fall at Townhouse, Seattle, Washington, $405,000 settlement. Our client rented the same townhouse unit in South Seattle for 10 years. One night, she went to get the mail and fell down a darkened exterior staircase, injuring her ankles. The Defendant claimed that she should have known the condition of the staircase because she had lived there for so long.  We proved that there were numerous code violations on the exterior staircase that caused her injuries.

Assault at local high school, Kirkland, Washington, $400,000 settlement. Our client was standing with a group of his friends outside of a high school gym following a basketball game. A fight broke out and an assailant misperceived our client as a threat, and attacked him. Our client suffered a fractured orbital socket, among other injuries.  We obtained coverage from the assailant’s parents’ homeowners policy for our clients injuries.

Fall at Jack in the Box, Kenmore, Washington, $375,000 settlement. Our client was walking through the Jack in the Box parking lot when his left foot went into an abandoned water meter hole. As he fell down, he extended his arm and injured his shoulder. Jack in the Box argued that he was a trespasser, and not yet a customer. We established his lawful presence as an invitee.

Nut exposure leads to significant settlement, Bainbridge Island, Washington, $250,000. Our client has a severe nut allergy. She asked about the ingredients in a breakfast sandwich before ordering it from a barista. The barista misrepresented the ingredients. The client had a severe reaction to the item while aboard a Washington State Ferry, and was unable to get medical help until she was driven off of the ferry to the hospital.  The client was forced to inject herself with epinephrine in front of her children and spend the night in the ICU.

Fall from exercise equipment, Redmond, Washington, $150,000. Our elderly client was proscribed several sessions of physical therapy to address her balance issues. The physical therapy assistant directed her to balance herself on inflatable rubber discs. The physical therapy assistant then walked away, and our client fell over, injuring her neck and upper back.
